Why not go all cash?
It is easy to go all cash in Pennsylvania. Just be sure not to treat any chiropractic patients that have been in an automobile crash, a worker’s compensation injury, or have Medicare Part B/Medicare Advantage.
Act 6 of 1990: This motor vehicle financial law strictly regulates your fees. It is a violation of the law to collect from the patient an amount over the fee schedule.
Act 44 of 1993 and Act 57 of 1996: These worker’s compensation regulations limit the fee schedule as well as which doctors can treat, how to submit billings, and how long you have to submit a valid bill.
Medicare: Any covered service must be submitted to Medicare by the provider. The covered service has a tightly regulated fee schedule regardless if the doctor is participating or non-participating, assignment or non-assignment.
